Elvin Ross
EMMY Award Winning Composer, Elvin Ross is a native of Hahnville, Louisiana where he discovered his love for music as his mother, a middle school music teacher, nurtured his musical interests. Ross evolved his skills as he started playing for local churches. After graduating from college, he moved to Atlanta to begin a career in real estate architecture, but while working as a church musician, he ran into an old New Orleans friend, Tyler Perry, a budding playwright, who was looking for a composer and musical director for his play, I Know I’ve Been Changed. This single encounter would shift Ross’ career trajectory forever….
